A similar meat skewer by Nathaniel Hurd is in the collection of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and illustrated in Kathryn C. Buhler, American Silver 1655-1825, cat. entry 315, p. 356. Buhler states that American silver meat skewers are "surprisingly rare."
