An identical fragment of this circa 1835 wallpaper pattern used for this box is in the collection of the Shelburne Museum and is illustrated in Carlisle, Hat Boxes and Band Boxes at Shelburne Museum (Shelburne, VT, 1960), p. 41, Panel No 31.
