Each in the form of three parrots standing on rocky plinths and framing a naturalistic tree with blossoming porcelain flowers, supporting a globular vase with pierced foliate finial and frieze, on an octagonal rockwork base and lion-mask feet, one bird with restored break

Lot Essay

Baron Henri de Rothschild (1872-1946), was the great-grandson of Nathan Mayer Rothschild (1777-1836) one of the five sons of Mayer Amschel Rothschild (1744-1812), founder of the Rothschild dynasty. He was the brother of the Baronne Leonino and the father of James and Philippe de Rothschild.
