Tapering rectangular with molded gold borders, the hinged cover opening to a fitted gilt-metal interior with gold scissors, gold-mounted steel corkscrew, gold pencil, bodkin, and ivory tablet, marked on rim, also with later French control marks; together with a gold-inlaid tortoiseshell cylindrical tui, apparently unmarked
