The first circular, the detachable cover with a glazed panel enclosing a carved-wax tableau of the Seller of Loves inscribed LA MARCHANDE D'AMOURS; the second shaped rectangular inlaid with silver pique and carved in a brick pattern, with silver clasp and opening to reveal seven writing tablets, apparently unmarked
