Inscribed by Sybil Harrington on Arthur Tooth labels on the reverse: 'These 2 small Guardis had belonged to Vivienne [sic.] Leigh - "Scarlet" She had to sell them & I had to own them as I adore both Guardi & Miss Leigh!!! S.B.H.'; and 'These 2 miniature Guardis belonged to the wonderful screen + stage star Vivienne [sic.] Leigh (Scarlett) She had to sell them & I had to buy them - Real treasures they are & will always be tucked into a traveling case & go where I go to give me joy & happiness SBH.'
