The foliate-scroll work corona above a basketweave engine-turned band suspending faceted chains, with a similar engine-turned tier surmounted by female-form candlearms alternating with trumpet-form candlearms terminating in ram's heads above further cascading chains with a pinecone pendant

A similar Empire chandelier with anthemion-cast corona was sold from the collection of the late Giuseppe Rossi, Sotheby's London, 12 March 1999, lot 1407 (54,300 pounds).
