With lion's head above a matted and shaped reserve set with a sunburst surmounting the cream-painted oblong face set with three labelled and marked scales, Hygromtre, Baromtre, and Thermomtre, above a scientific trophy and a crescent moon with human face in a round matted reserve within a husk surround wrapped with acanthus leaves, the sides with trailing berried husks and flowers, the backplate dial signed Fait par Bondy, Fabricant des Instruments de Mtorologie pour l'acadmie de sciences et pour l'universit de Turin
