A CONTINENTAL FAIENCE SURTOUT-DE-TABLE AND A SWEETMEAT STAND
The surtout-de-table circa 1750 and possibly Hchst or Fulda, the sweetmeat stand of later date
The surtout-de-table of shaped oval form with moulded sides, painted in shades of pink, blue, yellow and green with loose bouquets and scattered flowers, the sweetmeat stand as a silver-shaped dish supported on the heads of four dolphin-footed caryatids raised on a conforming stepped base
