Each rectangular white marble top with canted corners inset with a verde antico panel and border above a guilloche frieze, on female term supports issuing flower-filled baskets and continuing to panelled tapering legs with trailing foliage joined by a pierced x-form stretcher, on leaf-tip-cast feet, each with inscribed number 14PA85, bearing the stamp E ZWIENER

Lot Essay

Inspired by Louis XVI 'antique' prototypes executed by the ciseleur-doreur Pierre Gouthire, these tables reflect the neo-classical revival expounded by crafstmen such as Joseph-Emmanuel Zwiener, Henri Dasson, Franois Linke and Alfred Beurdeley.
