This issue was formerly attributed to Antiochos, son of Seleukus IV, but has been convincingly re-attributed to Antiochos V based on a monogram link with the Akko-Ptolemais coinage of Antiochos IV. The issue may have been struck to herald the association of young Antiochos V with his father at about the time he embarked on his Parthian campaign.
