Of tapered rectangular section with canted corners, the four sides are finely painted with raised panels enclosing either scholars in landscapes reading and playing music, or pairs of deer or cranes, all reserved on a multi-coloured diaper ground with stylized medallions at the corners, the everted rim with a classic meander, the base with two circular appetures for drainage (enamel losses retouched)
