A KUBA MASK, mwaash a mboy
Stylized human face of tin, with rectangular pierced eyes, the wood of diamond form, mouth and nose with flaring nostrils attached, beaded cloth bands over the nose, brows and cheeks, five rows of cowrie shells at the chin, surmounted by a large cylindrical forward projecting elephant trunk and tusks, cowrie shells and blue and white beads over the entire surface, raffia fringe at the back, 21in. (53.3cm.) high without raffia attachments
