An Officer's Sword of the Royal Navy
With fine blade by GIEVES bearing etched decoration and cypher of King Edward VIII, regulation hilt, the folding flap of the guard engraved P.L. Hocking R.N., sword-knot and scabbard (gilt of guard and scabbard-mounts somewhat rubbed); together with a framed photograph, 7in. x 5in., of the sword's original owner as a Midshipman; and a print, 5in. x 9in., taken from a pencil drawing, depicting HMS Repulse and signed on the mount Rowland Langmaid, label on frame inscribed "The Princes' Ships"... Original Drypoint by L.T. ROWLAND LANGMAID, R.N. EDITION STRICTLY LIMITED TO 150 SIGNED IMPRESSIONS
