A Trooper's Chapka of the 17th Lancers
A good regulation cap, the interior stamped with WD markings and date 1903, the lining bearing an incomplete label of HOBSON & SONS, ARMY CONTRACTORS, with brass QVC plate bearing battle-honours to SOUTH AFRICA 1879, complete with white horsehair plume in its brass socket and yellow worsted cord cap-lines (right-hand chin-chain boss replaced, no spare-links or backing to chin-chain, brass tongue attachment of plume slightly defective)
