Private Gerald Garnet Heywood, aged 23 years, was wounded in the head by shrapnel on 15.2.1915, near Ypres, and was invalided to England and died of wounds at Derby Infirmary on 12.3.1915. He is buried in St. Nicholas Churchyard, Chislehurst.
