Trooper Charles Rube Dobson, aged 27 years, of the Auckland Mounted Rifles, from Kai Iwi, Wanganui was killed in action on 8.8.1915 during the attack on Chunuk Bair, Gallipoli and is commemorated on the Chunuk Bair Memorial.
