Brigadier-General Arthur Montagu Perreau, [C.B.], [C.M.G.], was born in 1870 and educated at Harrow and Sandhurst. Commissioned into the Royal Artillery in 1890, he attained the rank of Captain in 1900 and was wounded in the Boer War. Advanced to Major in 1908 and Lieutenant-Colonel in 1914, his services in the Great War were rewarded with a Brevet-Colonelcy, a Mention in Despatches, a C.M.G. in 1916 and the C.B. in 1919. Perreau retired as a Brigadier-General in the following year and died in 1953.
