Captain August Muller, [K.H.], entered the service of the King's German Legion in 1805 and served in the Expedition to Hanover that same year, in the Baltic between 1807-08 and in the Peninsula between 1809-11. He was severely wounded at Talavera on 28.7.1809. Commissioned Lieutenant in 1813, he subsequently participated in the campaign in North Germany between 1813-14 and was present at the Battle of Waterloo, where he was again severely wounded on 18.6.1815. He appears on the British Army Half-Pay List from 26.2.1816, then as a Captain by Brevet on the Hanoverian Retired List, at Osterholz, Hanover. He was created a Knight of the Hanoverian Guelphic Order.
