The Cape Field Artillery:
Armed with four 6-pounder guns and Snider rifles this unit was engaged against the Galekas, Gaikas and other tribes between 1877-78, and in the Zulu War in 1879 when it was present at the attack on Moirosi's Stronghold on 8.4.1879. Just 39 Medals from an issuance of 93 carried the clasp '1877-8-9'.
