The Reverend Thomas Nevell Tattersall, D.S.O., was born in July 1879 and educated at Brighton Grove College, Manchester. Having been ordained before the outbreak of hostilities, he was appointed a Chaplain to the Forces 4th Class and embarked for France in November 1914. Subsequently thrice Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the D.S.O., he was advanced to Chaplain 2nd Class prior to relinquishing his appointment with the A.C.D. in 1917. Tattersall was latterly Pastor at Marshall Street Church in Edinburgh and died in March 1943.
