The Reverend Walter Boyce, M.V.O., was born in September 1853 and educated at Fauconberg School, Beccles and St. John's College, Cambridge prior to commencing a long and distinguished career in the world of education. Twice an Assistant Master in the West Indies, he rose to be Headmaster of King Edward VII Grammar School at King's Lynn between 1887-1919, which post resulted in his M.V.O. He died in April 1936.
