Lady Enid Hester Nina Nutting was born in 1885, the daughter of Francis Berry Holman-Mulock of Bellair, King's County, Eire. She married Sir Harold Stansmore Nutting, 2nd Baronet, in 1913. He was a former A.D.C. to the Governor-General of Australia, who became High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1929 and Deputy Lieutenant of the County in 1931. They had three sons, two of whom were killed on active service, the third, Mr. Anthony Nutting, was a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs who resigned during the Suez Crisis. Lady Nutting was involved in various charitable works and women's organisations and was President of the Leicestershire Branch of the British Red Cross, Leicestershire British Legion Women's Section, Leicestershire and Rutland Women's Institute and Y.M.C.A. Women's Auxiliary. She died in July 1961.
