Captain John Dodds Marshall, D.S.O., was the Senior Resident Officer of the Victoria Hospital for Children, London prior to being commissioned into the Royal Army Medical Corps in May 1915. Serving as R.M.O. to the London Rifle Brigade and later the 2nd Battalion, Suffolk Regiment, he was Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the D.S.O. (London Gazette 1.1.1917 refers).
