AN UNUSUAL EARLY 19TH CENTURY MOUNTED HORN SNUFF MULL,
moulded in the form of a seal with a chain link handle and spiked collar, the hinged cover with damascened gunmetal, with an applied gold circular cartouche, engraved with a stylised canopied sailing vessel above the motto "Perservere" with a pique work initial "M" on one side of the body, probably Scottish/colonial, second half of the 19th century - 10cm long.
