A LATE VICTORIAN SCOTTISH DISH RING,
HAMILTON & INCHES, EDINBURGH, 1894, of conventional spool form, pierced cahsed and embossed in low relief with a lady and gentleman figures: she with a rake and basket of apples, he leading a pig to market, with a dog chasing a fox, all amongst flowering scrolls and a cartouche * (with blue glass liner) - 20cm dia, 14oz weighable silver.
* Inscribed "Presented to the Officers of the 6th V.B., the royal Scots to Major Gostling on his marriage 1895".
