A SCOTTISH PROVINCIAL SILVER BELT BUCKLE,
GEORGE BOOTH, ABERDEEN, CIRCA 1820, of slightly curved plain rectangular form, the reverse with a hook and two stud fittings, the front engraved with a lion rampant crest and motto within laurel mantling framed by two Scottish basket-hilted broad swords, also engraved with two linked hands and a Gaelic inscription Cogadh na Sith ("Peace or War") - 9.5 x 7cm.
