Two bamboo carved brushpots and two carved bamboo figures
The first brushpot early 19th Century, the rest late Qing Dynasty
The first carved from a gnarled bamboo section, the lower part of one side decorated in high relief with a figure mounted on a grazing donkey and accompagnied by an attendant carrying a branch, 16.3 cm. high; the other brushpot carved in shallow relief with branches of peony and grasses issuing from pierced rockwork, 30.6 cm. high; and one figure representing Lu Dongbin, 37.5 cm. high, and a figure of a woman, 41 cm. high (some wear) (4)
