An Arita blue and white square dish and a pair of enamelled dishes
The first with Fuku-mark, Edo Period (18th Century), the others 19th Century
The square dish decorated at the centre in relief with a coiling dragon amidst clouds, surrounded by a band with demi-florets, the steep quatrefoil sides moulded in relief with alternating panels of stylised lotus flowers and shishi (rim chip), 29 cm. diam.; and a pair of deep dishes painted in the Chinese famille rose palette and underglaze blue with two quails on a grassy riverbank amidst a profusion of exotic flowers, 30.6 cm. diam.
