The gilt ovoid finial above a circular case fitted with a glazed door opening to a white-painted dial face with Roman chapter ring centering Simon Willard & Son NO 4378 over a flaring throat with leaf-stencilled frame enclosing an eglomise panel flanked by pierced brass tendrils above a box base with similar frame enclosing an eglomise panel, on a carved and gilt pendant base
