Maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., New York, circa 1907
Comprising mug, porringer, plate, fork, spoon and knife; the mug with scenes from Old King Cole, the porringer with an ivory handle and scenes from Tom Tom the Piper's Son, the plate with scenes from Little Red Riding Hood, the knife with a similar scene, the fork modeled as Little Bo Peep, the spoon as Jack and Jill, all framed by Art Nouveau style scrolling foliage, marked under bases and on handles
The plate 8in. diameter, the mug 3.5/8in. high; gross weight 39 oz.

Lot Essay

A silver child's table service of the same pattern is in the collection of The Chrysler Museum and is illustrated in Charles Venable, Silver In America, 1994, p. 142, fig. 6.20. The Chrysler Museum's service contains a porringer, two plates, a bowl. They are all inscribed From James Stillman April 5th 1907.
