Maker's mark of Tiffany & Co., New York, 1880-1891, kettle 1891-1902
Comprising kettle on stand, coffee pot, teapot, hot milk jug, covered sugar bowl, cream jug, and waste bowl; each globular with reeding on corners, raised on four square feet with chrysanthemum joins, the wavy rims, handles, spouts and kettle stand applied with chrysanthemum and leaves, the pot handles and kettle with ivory insulators, the hinged domed covers surmounted by chrysanthemum finials, the kettle with replaced burner, the rectangular tray applied with chrysanthemum border and with two bracket handles, the field engraved with scrolling chrysanthemum in each corner, the center of the tray and the side of the kettle on stand engraved with a coat-of-arms, crest and motto within foliate mantling over ALEXANDER, marked under bases
The kettle on stand 13in. high, the tray 30in. long over handles; gross weight 526oz.
