A roundel in the center with the arms of Bishop Silvio Valenti Gonzaga of Mantua, set in front of brown rockwork growing large pink and white peony blooms with two exotic, long-tailed birds perched among them, the rim decorated with large lappets alternating with two double-headed eagle crests and two lion rampant crests, the back white

D.S. Howard, op. cit., p. 61, points out that an early date for this service is not only supported on stylistic grounds but confirmed by the fact that Gonzaga was created Cardinal in 1738, after which time he certainly would not have had a bishop's hat in his arms
