A GEORGE II MAHOGANY SETTEE
Possibly Irish, Circa 1750
The eared rocaille-carved serpentine crestrail centered by a shell, above a pierced trellis back and a padded seat covered with diamond-patterned silk, flanked by rocaille and shell-carved S-scroll armrests, on inverted cabriole supports, on fluted square legs joined by an H-stretcher, inscribed EXFP2, the front and side seatrails replaced, the middle member of the stretcher possibly replaced
