The Madonna

This previously unpublished work can be dated to the 1770s and compares well with a number of paintings of the Madonna and the Madonna and Child, published by Adriano Mariuz in his catalogue of 1971, in particular those in the Pushkin Museum, Moscow (A. Mariuz, Giandomenico Tiepolo, p. 128, pl. 292) and that formerly in the collection of H. Fest, Berlin-Wannsee (op. cit., p. 114, pl. 294).
