A first hand account of the British expedition against the pirates of Algiers, Morocco (or Sally, Salli, Sale, Slá as it was called in the 18th century) led by William Rainborow. This was one of the last overseas expeditions launched by Charles I. John Dunton was a British seaman who had been captured by Sally pirates. The folding chart shows the siege.
