Each surmounted by a pair of columns headed by a laurel wreath, above a circular dial, the clock with twin-train movement striking on a gong, the barometer's dial inscribed BAROMETRE HOLIOSTERIQUE ANAROIDE /P.H.B.N., flanked to each side by two playing putti, above a seated winged figure, with foliate terminal

This model is inspired by the work of André-Charles Boulle and Jean Berain, ornemaniste du Roi, both working for King Louis XIV.

The two seated winged figures are most probably emblematic of Fame and Time.
