Born in 1858 at Faix-Sauvigny-le-Bois (Yonne), Georges Loiseau-Bailly was a pupil of A. Dumont at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts. He exhibited at the Salon from 1879 to 1913. He was awarded a Silver Medal at the 1889 and 1900 Expositions Universelles.
