Chteau Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1986
Pauillac, 1er cru class. Chteau-bottled
Tasting note: The most outstanding 1986 I have tasted. Decadent in the extreme. Very opaque colour. A rich, supple, flattering, super-ripe Cabernet-Sauvignon nose with a sheen of French oak and layers of depth and complexity. The same richness and depth on the palate with fat, rounded, plump, saturated cherry and blackcurrent fruit. Explosive in impact. Marvellous length. A remarkable wine and lovely already. (T.Hudson)
