lithograph, 1944, on wove paper, signed in pencil, inscribed 'épreuve d'essai', a trial proof (the edition was 10 plus 7 artist's proofs; there was also the unsigned book edition of 60), with full margins, a pale stain at right showing mostly in the margin, pale surface soiling in the margins, two lithographs in colors by another hand showing through from the reverse, a very soft and unobtrusive horizontal crease; and Le Supplice du téléphone, plate XXX for Matière et Mémoire (W. 42)--lithograph, 1944, on wove paper, an unsigned proof apart from the signed edition of 10 plus 4 artists's proofs (there was also the unsigned book edition of 60), with full margins, bears inscription 'épreuve d'essai', occasional very soft creasing in the margins, pale staining at the bottom margin edge, two very small stains on the reverse, otherwise in good condition (2)
