lithograph, 1945, on Arches, signed in pencil, inscribed 'épreuve d'essai', a trial proof apart from the three signed and numbered artist's proofs and the unsigned, unnumbered book edition of 195, the full sheet, very pale time staining, a few soft creases at the bottom sheet edge, two skinned patches at the reverse of the top sheet corners, pale surface soiling on the reverse, otherwise in good condition
