Carved in relief with two prancing hounds or leverets flanking a crowned crest with battle axe, with foliage below --17½ x 26in. (44.5 x 66cm.)

Lot Essay

The arms are thought to be Radszewski of Saxe Coburg and Gotha, created Barons by Duke Ernst II in 1870. These are also the arms of the Hotel Meurice, Place Vendome, Paris.
