the white marble inset top on a stepped serpentine fronted frieze, with fall below modelled as three quarter-veneered crossbanded drawers, enclosing a birds eye maple and burr-yew inlaid interior with a shelf and two drawers and blue velvet lined writing slope, with four long drawers below, between rounded gilt-metal mounted uprights and quarter veneered sides, on a moulded plinth -- 24¾in. (63cm.) wide
