Bateman' (lower right), inscribed as title (lower centre) and further extensively inscribed 'I have called on behalf of the poor little knock-kneed niggers of poopooland; Hm - Mrs Anderson gives ten shillings-; Lady bouge a guinea!; The Dove-Turtles five pounds!; The Cogweelers ten pounds-; Mrs Fraction - two shillings -; Ah! the Billingtons - back to five pounds.; Mrs Great-Dimple ten pounds -; Let me see - I had better give fifteen.; !!!'
