A wood dolls' house from Scotland
of five bays and two stories with central door, porch, green shutters to the ground floor windows (not shown in photograph) and two chimney stacks, painted to simulate brickwork, with darker bricks interspersed on the ground floor, opening in one section to reveal eight rooms, staircase with back door behind, landing, interior doors, fireplaces, tin range, woolwork floor coverings and some original papers, furniture including three English tin yellow painted "rush" seated chairs, an elaborate Kestner Waltershausen sideboard with turned bone posts, similar pieces including a work table with fittings, dressing chest with mirror, upright piano, writing table, sofas, chairs and book case, a gilt paper on card box in the form of a mantel clock, roasting jack with composition chicken, milk, clear and coloured glass, English beds dressing table and washstand, nutcrackers, photographs of a man and a woman in 1860's costume, china-headed and frozen Charlotte dolls in original clothes, a part painted turned wood dinner service, a painted soft metal mantel clock, a wax cradle, a card and cotton sewing bag containing half knitted socks, a Lauscha glass birdcage, towel horses, kitchen equipment and a lithofane fire screen -- 62in.
