SCHLOSS SCHONBORN
The wine growing tradition of the Family Counts of Schonborn started in the 13th century and the family continued to acquire vineyards during the 17th and 18th centuries. The Schonborns were one of the first families to fill their wines in handblown glass bottles from 1750 onwards.
Today the Domain Wine Estate Schloss Schonborn covers 50 hectares of vineyards and is one of the largest, oldest and most prestigious private wine estates in the Rheingau planted primarily with Riesling
