The rectangular top with projecting angular corners centred by a mythological group of venus in her chariot surrounded by mermaids and amorini, within a framed border, with surround with pierced foliate scrolls and figures with cabochons, containing a drawer in the frieze with similar foliate inlay and armorials to the sides with birds, on square tapering legs with shaped spandrels joined by stretchers below with central finial, on turned feet, bearing label Ferdinando Pogliani Fabricatore di mobile ol'ogni genere Borgo di porta vitorria N81 in Milano, with further written inscription
