By Krieger, in the Louis XVI style, with purplewood lines and ebony stringing, the shelved superstructure of recessed broken outline, with pierced brass guilloche gallery and moulded edge containing a drawer above an arched open compartment below to either side, with beaded panels to the centre, the top inset with a panel of brown tooled leather with a shuttered brass moulded edge with projecting rounded corners, containing three drawers in the slightly arched apron between shuttered ornament, on simulated fluted inlaid tapering legs terminating in sabots, the top of the central drawer with a lock inscribed Mon Krieger Ameublement Paris
