According to the vendors records, these gates were made for the opera singer Conchita Supervia, during the 1930s.
Conchita Supervia started her career in Buenos Aires in 1910, and soon became an established singer in Italy, France and Milan. In 1931 she married a London businessman, Mr Ben Rubenstein, and settled in Lownes Square, London. According to records, René Lalique was involved with the design of the gates for her London home.
