The prototype is in the Alte Pinakothek, Munich (A. Natali, Andrea del Sarto - maestro della "maniera moderna", 1998, p.99 & p.213, ill.). The Munich prototype is probably an autograph replica, with studio assistance, of the picture in the Louvre, inv. no.1515 (A. Natali, op. cit., p.98 & p.213, ill.).
